DR. DRE SUPER BOWL LVI HALF TIME SHOW

Like many people, I was watching Super Bowl LVI and looking forward to the Half Time Show. Once the half time show started unlike most people I was caught completely off guard for what I witnessed. I found myself overwhelmed with emotion as Dr. Dre gave homage to a place I frequently attended as a teenager. This place was the Eve After Dark!

Unless you are from the area or perhaps one of the young people that use to party there, The Eve After Dark probably didn't register as anything more than just another place in Compton California that Dr. Dre was using to represent his humble beginning in the area.

I sat down with my good friend and former owner of the Eve After Dark, Lonzo Williams and he shared some insight on the significance of Dr. Dre standing on the world stage and the symbol of standing atop the iconic building where he got his start and how four young DJ’s started the World Class Wreckin Cru which consisted of Lonzo, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella and Cli-N-Tel

Both Lonzo and I felt a sense of pride as we watched the absolutely stunning half time show with artist like Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, 50 Cent and of course the maestro, Dr. Dre! While watching it (the show) I felt like he was acknowledging not only California, Compton, West Coast, The Eve After Dark, but acknowledging me and all the young people who use to go there. The Eve After Dark was a safe haven for young people to go and leave whatever troubles they had in their lives behind, even if it was just for an evening, it really helped many of us. The energy and vibes of the DJ's (like Dr. Dre) made it feel as if everything would be all right. It truly meant a lot to me and I am proud he chose one of my safe havens to represent at the Super Bowl Half Time show. It was MEGA!

I really am not sure how my life may have turned out without good wholesome fun places like this to go to. Looking back over my life, I am filled with gratitude they existed. As I am a strong, enduring and capable business woman paying it forward by helping both emerging and established artists. It's not where you start, it's what you do with it in the end. Life can be good for us all, especially when we remember to do good service for others and remember those we encountered along the way as we grow and blossom into God's amazing beings. I write this blog for people that may be going through some tough times currently to let them know and believe that anything is possible. Like with the success of Dr. Dre, Lonzo Williams and myself.

Please watch like and subscribe to us and most importantly, I hope you enjoy watching my interview on the topic with owner of the Eve After Dark, Lonzo Williams. Learn how it all got started and how he felt about seeing his iconic building being mentioned on the world stage of Super Bowl LVI the winning team the Los Angeles Rams! Let us know what your thoughts are. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and watch the video.
